University 2; Exam Day is now finished!
Thanks again to Daryl, Pete and Emma for their help with the voices, and to (the extremely talented) James Feeney for his help with recording and sound effects. You all rock!
We're all really happy with how it turned out and hope you can spend just under 3 minutes of your time to watch it - who knows, you may even get a few cheap laughs out of it!
And a big thank you to everyone who saw the first Universtiy episode on the BBC 3 Animation website, we were really excited to be a part of it and just HAD to make a sequel. enjoy!

Please vote for my animation University in the BBC New Talent Showcase - if it does well in the voting stage and the panel of judges like the animation, it will be aired on BBC 3 later this year... which needless to say, would be amazing! So please vote a high score for University now!
I'm now working with James Feeney (who helped with the recording and sound effects on University) on a sequel. It's still in early development - but a final script should be finished soon, and we'll go from there.

I just recieved some fantastic news! University has been selected as one of the finalists in the BBC New Talent Animation Competition.
Voting will begin soon, and the winners will be screened on BBC 3 later this year.

University is the new short animation my friend James Feeney and I recently worked on to enter into the BBC Three New Talent Animation Competition.
The animation follows the lives of three average students to find out exactly what it takes to go into further education.
I worked on the character rigging and animation, James worked on the voice recording, sounds effects, and editing.
I'd also like to thank Emma Feeney, Daryl Coles, and Peter Timothy for their help with the voices.

Hi everyone!
A new version of Go Away has been uploaded, and can be found under Animations.
Its a lip-sync animation (using a sound clip from Freakazoid) If you don't remember Freakazoid, it was a Steven Spielberg and Warner Brothers cartoon back in the 90's. It was really funny, and was a lot like Animaniacs.
Anyway, take a look! I hope you enjoy it.

Good news! Fido has been added to the Animations page!
The animation is named after the character 'Fido' that I recently created in Maya - he's a bouncy green alien in a space-suit.

Right now I'm in the process of re-working Go Away - the next version will have two characters, and a longer sound-bite.
Once that's done, I'll start piecing everything together into an all new demo reel, which will have audio on all the animations!

I'm very happy to announce that Don't Walk is now complete, and is up on the Animations page!
I'm really pleased with how it turned out - the people who I have shown it to seem to really like it and get a good laugh out of it - which is great!
I've taken down my demo reel from 2005, and will be uploading my new reel sometime next month. Still, much of the content from the new reel is available on the Animations page.. so go there now and have look!
'Fido' will be uploaded next.

Hi! Today I finished off a new animation, it's called "Shark!"
I designed and rigged the character (who's name is Pez by the way..) last month, and this is the first animation I have done using him. Please take a look, and let me know what you think.
Also, the entire 'animations' section has been updated - although some of the animations are still in production (they'll be up really soon.)

Hi everyone - There's a few things to talk about since my last entry.. firstly, I'm now an open lab monitor at Full Sail, which means I can open up class rooms, get more time to work on my demo reel, and generally help out around college.
Secondly, the trailor for the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie is online.. it looks incredible!

And thirdly, I will be uploading some new character rigs which I recently created in Maya 7. Below is a picture of 'Reggie' - a biped dog. ("Rig" section coming soon)

New site, new look!
I just finished up reworking the website - and there's quite a few updates to talk about. Firstly, this all new blog section - I'll be posting any news, thoughts, or ideas I have right here.
The new short animation (featuring the Less Than Jake song "Bridge and Tunnel Authority") can be found under 'Animations'.
After I finished making the video, I found out that Less Than Jake were going to be doing a free in-store performance and meet-and-greet in my area. So I threw the video onto DVD and took a copy with me to the show. I met up with the band, and talked to them for a while - they're a really cool, down to earth group. I had fun talking to them.
A few days later, they took a look at the video and Vinnie sent me the following e-mail:
"Chris, the video looks awesome, great job!" - Vinnie
I really like how the video turned out, and it was great to hear back from the band.
I recently added some new sculptures and cartoons to '2D Art'.

As for now, I'll be working on a new demo reel - for the past month I have been working heavily on pre pro for some of the animations. They're going to have more of a story-telling feel to them than anything on my current demo reel. I really want to work on some good character development, and showcase some awesome animations.
